When Should I See a Doctor About My Sweating?

General No Comments »

Sweating is not meant to be a serious problem but form some people it is as they sweat excessively and cannot control it. Everyone will wonder “how can I stop sweating” from time to time, especially if they are in high pressure situations but this is normal and should not be seen as out of the ordinary.

If sweating is becoming too much it is time to start thinking about how to stop armpit sweating and this is when you should consult your doctor. Visiting the doctor is the best way to find out if your level of sweating is normal or abnormal and if it is then something can be done about it.

Do not worry that you are going to the doctor over a trivial matter, because if sweating is running your life then it is not trivial. Your doctor may even tell you that you have hyperhidrosis which is a condition that makes a person sweat too much even in cold weather. If this is the case your doctor will be able to advise you on what is the best method of treatment and soon you will be able to relax knowing that your sweating is finally under control.

Rotator Cuff Injury Definition and Treatment

General No Comments »

A rotator cuff injury is one of the most common injuries amongst athletes and laborers. This is because the shoulder and arm are the most used and abused of the joints in the body for these people.

The rotator cuff is the group of tendons and muscles that form the shoulder joint and hold the arm into the shoulder socket. The cuff has a protective layer around it that is fluid filled which helps to reduce the amount of inflammation from friction between the cuff and the bones in the shoulder.

A person who has a rotator cuff injury will find that it becomes very hard to reach up over their head and that any movement of the shoulder joint is very painful. They may also experience weakness in the arm that is injured.

A rotator cuff injury is usually treated initially with rest and an ice/heat combination. If this fails to work, the physician will ask the patient to participate in some physical therapy treatments. These treatments will help to rehabilitate the shoulder joint. If the physical therapy is unsuccessful or the original injury is serious enough, rotator cuff surgery may be performed and then followed up with physical therapy.

Degenerative Disorder and Rotator Cuff Tear

General No Comments »

Degenerative disorder is an unfortunate part of aging for everyone. As we age, one of the things we may have to deal with is a degenerative rotator cuff tear.

Of the four muscles that make up the rotator cuff, the one most affected by a rotator cuff tear is the supraspinatus. The rotator cuff allows us to move our arm in all of the ways natural to us. We can rotate it in a full circle and lift it high over our head. When a tear occurs in the muscle tissue, a loss of movement and severe pain can really compromise our quality of life.

As we age, our body becomes increasing less able to heal itself. This is because our circulation slows down. The body needs a good blood flow to heal a rotator cuff injury. Without a sufficient blood supply, the tear will not improve and will likely continue to grow worse until it has finally completely disconnected the tendon from the bone it was meant to be attached to.

Bone spurs may also cause the tendons in the rotator cuff to become weak and tear. Because of these factors, aging adults should immediately address any shoulder pain with their physician.

An Overview of Rotator Cuff Surgery

General No Comments »

When the muscles and tendons in a shoulder are overused, abused, or injured in any way, a patient has many options for healing the damage to the shoulder joint. Rotator cuff surgery is generally a last resort for those who have tried everything else.

Depending on the amount of damage to the joint, the surgeon may elect to perform the rotator cuff surgery arthroscopically. Arthroscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgery which requires the surgeon to make several small incisions, though which he/she can insert a camera and special small tools used in making the necessary repairs.

The repairs made during arthroscopic rotator cuff surgery tend to be only minor ones, with most surgeons opting for conventional surgery to repair major tendon or muscle damage. This is because tears in the muscles or tendons can require sutures or anchors to be inserted to reattach them and a larger incision allows the surgeon more room to successfully make the needed repairs.

The recovery time for arthroscopic rotator cuff surgery is much less than that of conventional surgery on the shoulder. The small incisions heal much faster than the large one and allow the patient to progress much faster in their physical therapy.

Very rarely, patients complain that the surgery was not successful in relieving their pain, that they continue to have weakness in that arm, or that they have episodes of Frozen Shoulder.

Christian Pain Med Addiction Helped By Rehab

General No Comments »

Drug rehab offers hope

to those who find themselves

habituated to pain meds.

You may think you’re the

only one out there with

dependence on pain meds,

but you are not alone.

You’ve probably recognized

that you’ve had a problem

with pain relief medication

for a while now. Maybe it

started after surgery, or

a traumatic injury, or

developed over a long period

of time due to a chronic

pain condition.

You probably recognized that

you were taking more and

more medication, trying to

control the pain, and the

prescriptions kept funning

out faster and faster.

Maybe the doctor refilled

them early, warning you to

be careful– that the drugs

can become habit forming.

Sometimes, trying to be

helpful, friends and family

offer us some of their

medication, saying that

they are better or stronger.

Somehow you recognized

that you were taking more

and more medication, trying

to relieve the pain, and

where it came from didn’t

much matter.

Perhaps sometimes you took

more than you needed to… but

there was always that fear that

the pain might return.

Looking at the situation now,

perhaps you feel you need

the meds just to feel normal.

Sometimes we pray for answers,

and solutions don’t come right

away. We want the pain to

stop. We want to not need the

medication. We want to stop

lying to health care providers

in order to get more meds.

It can seem overwhelming.

The doctor gave you the meds,

which now have become a

problem in themselves. More

and more meds bring more

problems. How can you get

out of this sad cycle?

The answer many Christians

have found is Christian drug

rehab.

By surrendering to Jesus Christ,

and by acknowledging our drug

dependence problem with the

meds, the process of healing

begins.

An in-patient drug rehab program

is waiting to serve you. With

medical help and faith in Christ’s

will for our lives, we can become

whole again and overcome drug

dependence

Can Collagen Improve Hair Texture? Believe It!

General No Comments »

The best things in life sometimes come when and where you least expect them. That’s exactly what happened to me because of Encore Collagen.

I’m not any vainer than women by age. But one day, I looked at myself in the mirror and saw how badly wrinkled I was getting! Panicking, I decided to get more collagen.

My sister recommended a brand of collagen cream. I would have tried it too had I not discovered while surfing online one day that these creams actually use very little collagen. Moreover, these aren’t pure type 2 collagen! Luckily for me, I discovered Encore Collagen. I discovered it almost by accident, really. I was reading a friend’s blog and she mentioned taking pure type 2 collagen in a little capsule.

Now this friend, she’s no spring chicken. But her skin was far smoother than mine. So, I tried Encore Collagen, too. The results were amazing. Not only do my lines look a little less prominent now, my hair feels better, too! How was I supposed to know collagen would improve hair texture as well?

Yes, some of the best things in life come when and where you least expect them, and such was the case with Encore Collagen. I may not have known it would improve hair texture too but now that I do, I am not letting go of this collagen that keeps me asking for encores - literally!

What Can Cause Male Hair Loss?

General No Comments »

Since the beginning of time, men have always suffered from hair loss. The modern world is no exception: Men continue to suffer hair loss for a variety of reasons. Despite the widespread nature of this affliction, most men have no idea as to how or why they lose their hair.

Male hair loss is brought on by a variety of causes. Some of these may be treated or corrected, while others cannot. It is important to note that hair loss causes are difficult to pinpoint; some causes can only be diagnosed by a doctor.

The most common cause of hair loss in adult men is androgenetic alopecia, which is most often referred to as pattern baldness. Male pattern baldness is often hereditary and can result in a variety of hair loss features, depending on how it affects the individual. In pattern baldness, hair gradually falls out as the hair’s “growth time” shortens and results in weak hair roots. This continues with every hair growth cycle and the effects increase. Eventually, this may lead to thinning hair or complete hair loss.

Pattern baldness is caused by a chemical in the body most often referred to as DHT, or dihydrotestosterone. DHT is formed from testosterone in the male body. Although DHT is necessary for facial hair growth and other male characteristics, it can build up in the scalp and cause unsightly hair loss. Treatments such as Procerin may be able to reverse the effects of pattern baldness.

Other less common causes of male hair loss include auto-immune diseases, side effects of drugs such as those found in chemotherapy, damage or destruction of hair follicles, disease, and poor nutrition. Although there are numerous other causes of male hair loss, these causes are generally less prevalent than pattern baldness. Some of these causes of hair loss may be treated or eliminated through lifestyle changes, surgery, or other medical treatments; others causes of hair loss cannot be treated or reversed.

There are a number of hair loss products on the market that can effectively block the development of DHT, which can stop hair loss in general. The Procerin Hair Loss System is one such product that is comprised of two main products, a herbal supplement and a topical serum. The Procerin herbal supplement uses naturally occuring DHT blocking ingredients, while the topical serum works to strengthen existing hair. Procerin has an amazing 88% success rate with men who use it as directed and offers a full 90-day money back guarantee.

Rotator Cuff, Injury and its Early Treatment

General No Comments »

Most of us generally have the misconception that the term rotator cuff injury is associated with the sports players. People have a very restricted idea about this term and its theory. Undoubtedly, the injury or inflammation to rotator cuff is mainly caused by physical excursions, but now and then a slight fall or overheads movement may also cause rotator cuff injury.

An injury to rotator cuff becomes more prone with the increasing age. Sometimes, you may feel the pain even when you try to switch off the alarm clock which is located at a slight distance from your hand or when you try to reach the shelf. The symptom of shoulder pain is not a routine experience. Therefore, a proper medical attention is required to heal the injury.

If the injury to rotator cuff is less intense than physical therapy can do wonders to heal it. Occasionally, the doctors may also resort to steroid injections, if required. In case, the injury is more intense, surgery is mostly recommended.

One shouldn’t take this lightly and a proper diagnosis of it is required. Try to treat this problem as early as possible in order to avoid surgery and massive pain. Stay healthy by resorting to early treatment!
